The customer is large renowned ITeS services provider to Fortune 500 clients. They were facing issues in understanding compliance position making their procurement based more on guesswork and estimates rather backed by data. This resulted in unpredictable purchases and being on back foot whenever vendors sent them audit notice.
XORISK entered into a multi-year contract with client which involved conducting compliance analysis every six months. XORISK used its customized scanning mechanism targeted at collecting licensing metrics for complex publishers like IBM, SAP, Oracle, etc. Compliance reports were prepared for each publisher detailing usages by machine, location, configuration and user. This helped the client identify accurate licenses in use. XORISK also leveraged existing SCCM data to identify license reclaim opportunities which brought down the Bill of Material for next renewal. A recurring scoping and compliance analysis program was setup thereafter to periodically submit compliance reports and savings areas.
XORISK demonstrated the company how they could avoid spending more with more data and reports at hand. Client also requested XORISK to support its license purchase discussion from backend which resulted in better negotiated pricing. Overall client has been able to derive a value to the tune of 15 times of what they spent on XORISK services.
